SCOTT WASSERMAN    Scott Wasserman

In 1992, Scott started a very successful pet styling contest ring career and his winning began to take off. His most prestigious wins include Best Pet Stylist in Show at the U.S. Pet Pro Classic twice and the coveted Intergroom International Groomer of the Year award. Scott has had a successful international judging and speaking tour having traveled to England, Italy, Scotland, France, Argentina, Japan, China, Thailand, Singapore, and Canada. He has received several nominations of the Cardinal Crystal Achievement Awards, a grooming industry award for recognizing the top individuals, for 3 nominations for Judge of the Year, Groomer of the Year an Congeniality. Scott is a Certifier and Consultant for the InternationalSociety of Canine Cosmetologists, one of the toughest and most in-depth pet styling certification organizations in the world. His love of dogs has continued in the AKC show ring having groomed and/or shown several breeds through their championships including Airedale Terriers, Norfolk Terriers, Wire Fox Terriers, Cairns, Kerry Blue Terriers, Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, Portuguese Water Dogs, Giant Schnauzers, Bedlington Terriers, Poodles, French Bulldogs, Newfoundlands, Boxers, Basset Hounds, Dobermans, Bull Terriers, Yorkies, Bichon Frise and Miniature Pinschers.

SUESAN WATSON Suesan Watson

Suesan’s grooming career stretches over 40 years and she has received many class and group placings, including “Wahl 2003 Groomer of the Year” and three “Cardinal Crystal American Groomer of the Year” awards. She was also one of the top five competitors on ”Groom Team USA” for five years.

 

 

 

 

NANCY BRYSONNancy Bryson

Nancy Bryson has been grooming since 1976. She owned and operated Bryson Academy of Grooming/Dogs by Bryson Professional Grooming Salon in Caledon East, Ontario where she taught both the beginner and the professional, from 1995 to 2008. She currently operates Dogs By Bryson Professional Grooming salon and instructs professionals in skill advancement workshops. Nancy is a member of the advisory committee for Sheridan College’s “Animal Care Veterinarian Technician Program”.
A Certified Groomer with I.P.G., Nancy is a member of the Wahl Xtreme Team, and has been an active member of the Ontario Dog Groomers Association since its founding. She served as president from 1990 to 1993 and was voted their Grooming Personality of the Year for 2000, 2002 & 2004.
Nancy had an impressive win record, undefeated in the Terrier, Sporting and Creative categories. She is well known in the Canadian industry for her scissoring and creative styling. In 2009 Nancy became the first recipient of the Paws Way Centre’s Groomer of the Year Award. For 2010 Nancy received the Paws Way’s most prestigious award “Participant of The Year”.
Her professional credentials have earned her work as an industry demonstrator & speaker and competition judge. She has appeared both on television and in national magazines.

SANDY POTTER Sandy Potter

Sandy Potter-Moore is the owner and operator of Animal Haven Grooming in Chilliwack British Columbia.  Sandy is an International Award Winning Certified Master Groomer. Styling and grooming dogs since 1978.  Sandy is a former International Professional Groomers Association (IPG) Certified Master Groomer, Certifier and Judge.  In 2010 Sandy and her colleagues established the first Canadian certifying body for pet groomers and stylists, the Canadian Professional Pet Stylist.  As well as being a respected Professional Pet Stylist, Certifier & Judge. Sandy is an accomplished breeder of toy, miniature and standardpoodles with many Champions to her credit. She has now returned to breeding German Shepherds from Czech and Slovak working lines.  Sandy’s schedule is always full and this year is no different, she will be lecturing and providing grooming and styling seminars across Canada.

Cosmetic work and Styling: Movie and Television Industry

Agent Howard Kadish is a cruelty investigator with the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA) specializing in canine and equine welfare. For 12 years Howard has assisted the Ontario SPCA conducting temperament and adoptability assessments in shelter dogs.
As one of only a few Certified Professional Dog Trainers (CPDT) in Canada he has written dog training articles for Dog Sports Magazine, Dogs in Canada and other national publications. Howard is an enthusiastic and entertaining speaker passionate about helping educate people about their dogs, training and animal care. Howard presents animal care programs for children at the SPCA BARC camp, in public schools and 4H clubs as well as speaking at conferences, trade shows and public events. 

As well as public speaking Howard and his dogs are frequent guests on many television programs including Discovery TV, Top Dogs, Pedigree World of Dogs, Ultimate Dogs, Dogs in Canada TV, Open Mike with Mike Bullard, Breakfast Television, Canada AM, and others. For many years Howard and his dogs were featured performers at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.
Howard and his dogs, Zac and Zed are well known for their high-energy freestyle disc routines. As a pioneer of the sport of disc dog in Canada, he founded the Canadian Disc Dog Association (CDDA) in 1999. As well as judging CDDA competitions, Howard presents seminars and workshops on disc dog training across Canada and the US. He also teaches classes at Dog Sports Centre. Believing in a rounded education Howard and his dogs have competed or participated in luring coursing, sledding, weight pulling, herding, JRT racing and tracking including earning a Grand Championship in flyball, Elite Championship in Disc Dog and competing at the National level in agility.
Howard’s wife Dawn is a veterinarian and dog trainer and together they own and operate Dog Sports Centre in Caledon, Ontario. They breed Border collies under the name HiQ Border Collies and live on 42 acres with their three children, dogs, horses, ponies, ducks, fish and cats.
